How we compare booking software

Every figure on this site comes from a source we link to. This page explains how we collect it and how we choose our picks.

Prices

  • Source and date. Plans and prices are copied from each vendor's own pricing page. This edition's figures were recorded between 26 October and 2 November 2026 and are shown as of 2 November 2026.
  • Currency. Where a vendor publishes UK prices in pounds, we show those. Otherwise we show the US dollar price as published and never convert it, because exchange rates and UK billing vary.
  • VAT. We show VAT as the vendor states it. Where a GBP price is stated ex VAT, we also show the price with UK VAT at 20%, which is simple arithmetic. Where the vendor does not say, we write "VAT basis not stated". UK VAT may be added to USD prices depending on your VAT status.
  • Annual vs monthly. Vendors usually quote a lower per-month price for annual billing. We show both where published, and label which one an entry price uses.
  • Team costs. Cost tables for 1, 3 and 5 people multiply published per-user, per-staff or per-member prices. They are list prices with no discounts, and tools priced per calendar or location cost the same within their plan's limits.
  • Unconfirmed figures. A few figures come from third-party guides rather than the vendor's page. They're labelled Unconfirmed until we check them on the vendor's page.

Features

Features come from vendor pricing pages and documentation. In tables, 'Not checked' means we haven't confirmed the feature either way; it doesn't mean the tool lacks it.

Ratings and reviews

We don't award our own star ratings and we don't publish user reviews. Where we show third-party ratings from Capterra or G2, they are those sites' figures as listed around 19 October 2026, labelled and linked. We haven't run hands-on tests of every tool for this edition; reviews are based on published pricing, documentation and third-party figures.

How we choose our picks

Each 'best' list states its criteria at the top of the page, such as fit for the business type, published price, free plan, and key features. The order follows those criteria. It is never affected by affiliate commission or paid listings: Calendly, for example, has no affiliate programme and still ranks where it fits.
